2016: Bikeathon 17, Fun Walk & Country Run

Bikeathon 17, Fun Walk & Country Run Raises £3,216 for the Charity!

On Sunday 24th July we held our annual Bikeathon at The Royal Oak, (The Splash)  Little Cawthorpe, Nr. Louth. We also had the All New 4.5 mile Fun Walk and a 10k Country Run.

The weather was kind to us and luckily the cyclists, walkers and runners did not encounter any bad weather which we were pleased about.

This year we have now chosen a brand new route for the fun walk which has changed its distance from 3.5 to 4.5 miles. Due to the great feedback from participants and the fact that there are no cattle to get in the way we will be aiming to use this route every year!

Thanks of course goes to Tim and Linsey at The Royal Oak Inn (The Splash) for helping the day run smoothly.
Thank you to Councillor Adam Grist for the use of his field as a car park.
Grateful thanks goes to Steve Windsor and Steve Hunt for organising and marking out the 10k run.
Thank you to Huttoft Service Station for providing the bottled water for the runners.
Thank you to Your Move in Sutton-on-Sea for providing the chocolate bars.
Thank you to Ian Hart for putting all the arrows and signs up for the 12 and 30 mile Bikeathons.
Thank you to Daniel, Deb & Charlotte Richardson for putting all the arrows up for the all new 4.5 mile Fun Walk.

Thank you also for people on the drink stops, marshals and to all the ladies that were on the desk.

A huge thank you goes out to all that participated this year. It was so nice once again to see so many attending and so many returning faces.

Hope to see you all next year,

- Ruth and Tony Knowles.
